Maintenance of the fisheries is carried out by four volunteer river keepers who maintain the fisheries to the satisfactionof the Environment Agency including stocking and stock catching. Another important duty is to deter or apprehend poachers . For this work they are permitted to fish the waters a limited number of times during the season.

River levels can be obtained from guaging stations on the Conwy at Cwm Llanerch and on the Lledr at Pont Gethin, through the Natural Resources Wales website.
